Hi Everett, I am not sure who else to ask so please bear with me. Everytime I think I've saved a picture to fit the screen it ends up being huge or having monsterous margins? What am I doing something wrong? This is my latest pic I tried and is a good example. It read under 200k and was "fit to screen"- http://images.thesamba.com/vw/gallery/pix/110133.jpg Thanks for your help!

Try this piece of freeware for resizing. If you want help with an avatar, there are lots of folks who will help myself included. My current portfolio of avatars on thesamba include some of the more infamous pics.

Once the photo is uploaded to thesamba you can't edit it. Resize and save the photos before uploading, I think a good size for the gallery is around 600 pixels wide.

Fit to screen means your program just zoomed in or out so it fits in your screen, even if the photo was much larger.

I usually resize photos to 640 or 800 pixels wide, this usually results in a file size of under 100KB.
