I need the formula for L240. I went to NAPA paint store and they would need formula in Sherwin Williams or Martin sr. Thanks friends

most shops only go back til late '99. have them cross refence the azko mixing formula.

God dam...try to help and get nothing but attitude. Well, I'm in a giving mood so why don't you go to sherwin williams and see if they will give you free help?

Or buy your paint from a real supplier other than one that sells oil and wiper blades

I would go to a 'real' jobber and say, hey, I have this year VW and the paint code is L240. They will be happy to mix it.

yeah guys any real jobber can take a paint code from ANY company and cross refence it.....sooooo if you have a paint code/formula from Azko or PPG or even Nason...they can cross it to their tonors/bank and go from there.

Thanks for replies. I have gone to 3 auto paint stores and the cross reference you mention isn't happening. It appears their manuals don't go back that far, and google isn't helping either. It looks like this might be a "get close" hack job

i have the formula in DuPont base coat if you have a paint store that sells DuPont near you.

Paint code for L240 Agave green in Ditzler PPG is #42466 if maybe can cross reference. If it were me I'd stay away from NAPA for paint. We have one in my hometown and most of that stuff been sitting on the shelf for 10 years or more. Go to a legitimate auto body/paint supplier unless thats all you have access too.
