So, i'm NOT CERTAIN ABOUT:
The RIMS
The Mirror on Passanger side
REAR LIGHTS (almost sure they were changed...)
Thanks.

The outside rear view mirrors on both sides don't look original because at that time when they were added by the dealer they were mounted on the door hinge and not through the door metal.
The fuel level gauge was not standard in 1961 but that could have been added at any time. A 1961 should have a fuel tap lever under the dash. The wheel covers are a decorative accessory and you would want to see what is underneath them. It would be nice to have more photos to see the car in more detail.
That car might be a 62 just as easily as a 61, given the fuel gauge. |

German-market '61s got the '62 lights on 2 May 61; rest of world got snowflakes (with some exceptions) until end of model year.
Many European countries assigned the model year based on when the car was first registered; I'm not sure if Portugal was one of these.
My guess--it's a 1962 model year VW assembled and/or registered in 1961. |
