I am finally ready to order 4 new tires for my 72 bus. I have been bouncin between the yokohama 356's, or the Uniroyal laredos. I know the 356 are highway rib summer, and the Uniroyal are all season. Of course, the 356 is also a load D tire, while the Laredo is a load C. Just lookin for pro's/cons from folks who may have either of these. Basically want to make sure the C load tires would be enough, as all season sounds better to me, just let me know what u think. thanks.

I just bought the Uniroyals myself. I wasn't able to find the D rated tires.
I'm pleased with the tire. I had some passenger car tires on the bus before I replaced them. I noticed a big difference in the ride. The C rated Uniroyal is pleanty enough tire for it's purpose. |

| I need tires as well, great post question. What did you end up spending for the uniroyals? What size are those? Do you put the 40 psi in the rear and 30 in the front? |

| I paid $369 total . Mounting , balancing and tax. I haven't checked the air pressure since I got them about 2 weeks ago. So 40psi is what you're supposed to inflate to? Where did you read this? |

My last set were C load.
Check out the TYPE2.com library under tires. It was a great help to me when I was trying to decide what tires I was going to put on my bus.
I bought a set of 195/75r14 Bridgestone 603 D load tires in 2000 from the Tire Rack 1800-428-8355
The Bridgestones are an all season tire although not a very aggressive tread pattern. I like them a lot. I would buy them again.
the shipping and tires total was 290.12
at that time the tires were 66 dollars a piece.
When I put these tires on I also put sway-a-way front and rear sway bars on and it changed the ride dramatically. The bus has made several x-country trips and this combination made the latter trips much more enjoyable |

| PSi is on the sticker on top of the steering wheel column. It shows the front and rear axle PSI. Weights |

| Just had the Yoko's put on my bus last week. $52 a piece from TireRack.com. A great tire at an excellent price. |

I am running Bridgestone 603 195's now.
I talked with a guy yesterday who told me if I run 205's in the rear it will bring my rpms down about 300.
I want to get a freewayflyer but its not in my budget yet.
I run a stock height suspension with gas shocks, Any thoughts on tire sizes and engine rpm's? |

| Put a set of the Bridgestone 603V's on my 70 four summers ago- still plenty of tread 40 k later. Not the best in rain, however, and they seem kinda short compared to other tires in the same size. Saturday I found a place west of Mpls that has Hankook 819's in a 195r14 . These are 8 ply with a nice deep, open tread... $63 per. might try these out... Nice and tall, too |

| Just go to Costco and get some LT tires. Not like you're driving a Ferrari or something. Mine work fine. |
