View original topic: Chopped T-3 Wagon - Yes or No

I'm almost ready to paint my type3 wagon, then a thought entered my head - What if I chopped the roof by 3 - 4 inches? I think it would look hot but being totally devoid of any engineering knowledge I'm not sure if it's such an ace idea. Any feed back would be warmly welcomed and appreciated
Peace

Only if and this is only if you have a great body man. Not everyone can do this real well. It's very percise work.

Some friends and I were having a discussion about this just yesterday.
I think I've seen some chop-top T3 pictures somewhere around here.
The best way to chop the top is to have multiple roofs to work with, as it'll need to be lengthened and widened. But the real issue will be the front windscreen, as it has multiple complex curves/angles.

Why ruin what is already a work of art ?

Leave it alone. These cars are perfect the way they are.
