Picked up a 67 project. I wanted to document its progress. Pictures tomorrow.

Enjoy and take your time. I had bought a clapped out ZB '67 a good while back and I really enjoyed bringing it back to factory stock.

are there any other colors of 67's left out there? seems like every 67 being sold lately has been zenith blue. not that i am complaining, mine is zenith blue also.

Good luck on your '67. Yes, Zenith blue was a very popular color in the day. I owned 2 1967 beetles back in the 70's and both were Zenith blue. That would be my first choice for color. Will look forward to lots of pics of your project.

I will take my time the only thing is I have a buddy that does custom paint and he is itching to pull the trigger on a mid evil paint job I mean 3d graphics and all. He says that it's boring to do 1 color. Here is a link to his website
www.signshopracine.com take a look at some of his work. I'm just helping him on his car for it.

What route are going to take? All stock? Mild custom?

Plans are basic stock body full bumpers and all but stealth/sleeper and it will have Centerlines on it :)
This body has never been hit or repaired in any way it has NO rust. 8)

Nice catch! Looks pretty solid...
Mine is Zenith blue as well.

Had to get those early fenders off of it. Good thing I have a few pairs of these laying around.

Thanks I just can't believe the PO sh*t canned the orignal fenders and deck. I'm glad I have been gathering for a few years.

Isnt it nice to have a solid bug body to work with. Have you worked with bugs much? P O must have liked the earlier bug fenders. Makes it look like a '66. I love to see how these old Beetles evolved over the years, with people altering them to their liking.
Will be interesting to see your progress. Are you going to make it look like a new 67 bug?

Good job on saving this one.

I have been working on beetles since the mid 70's . Helped my dad with his and our race car "underdog" it was a 57 oval . My first car was a 52 zwitter.

Spent the day yesterday cleaning up the entire inside floor with a wire brush. I have 1 pinhole so I'm just going to repair it for now and later on down the road I will do a body off after I drive it a while. Just mounted the fenders temp. to see what I have.
