i took my fuel sender apart because it wasnt sliding. anyway because of the
way i disassembled it i broke the thin wire. i cant think of somewhere to
buy a replacement wire like that. its about as thick as a hair and appears to be stainless.

or does this one fit?

No. Thats not the right one. Thats a generic sending unit for generic aftermarket vdo gauges. I don't think it will work with your stock fuel gauge. Rocky Mountain Motorworks is not a good place to look for type3 parts. You would be better off trying CIP1, ISP west or even Jbugs. Some places just don't carry many parts for type3's.
