does anyone know if I can bolt seats from a 65 notch into a 69 square without having to do anything just a striaght swap?

As far as I know this is a straight swap.

The only thing will be that the '69 doesn't have the cables from the doors to release the backrests so you'll have to undo the bacrest lock manually if you want someone to get in the back.

I'm alittle confused on what you mean by door cables

Pre-67 type3s used a cable that was operated by a door flapper switch to release the seat back. In 67 VW put the release lever on the side of the seat. On my 65, I just unhooked the springs on the locks so I can just flip the seat back forward. I hope this helps.

I have 64 seats in my 66 and I have to manually reach under the deat to flip the lever. But I don't see how the the cable (which I don't have) is routed to and through to the door. Does anyone have any pics? I'd rather not have to remove the springs if I don't have to. Thanks.

'67s have the cables too.
