Is the site having some trouble? I tried comming into the threads many times this monring and after about 50 attempts it finallywent through. It would do this off and on so when I came back to the threads it wouldn't let me on, and once again, it finally came through...
also - I imagine this has probably been brought up before but why is it on chat it freezes up alot? Is it the java in the chat? Is there any way to speed that up? Often, I find I cannot even push the enter bar, my post won't go through. I have talked to many people before, and they also claim to have the same problem. Just wanted to know what could be done about it, if anything at all. Chat is awesome, but just gets a little aggervating when it go let you enter your message.

The forums site may have been having trouble, I have been complaining to them that they need to put some more effort into keeping it running 24/7.

The Chat gets bogged down if there are a lot of messages, especially if you have a dial-up connection.

You may want to type /clear when you are chatting if there are a ton of messages on the screen. This will make it load faster.

It also runs slower if a lot of people are chatting because each message is added to the database 1 at a time in sequence so sometimes a line of messages is waiting to be added, slowing things down.

I do have the option of adding a Java chat to this site. The only problem there is the Java chats are blocked by a lot of firewalls so some people would not be able to use it.

OK. I knew you already knew about the problem, I just was curious on a answer. Thanks - like I said I like how we have a chat room, and people use it, but its fusterating how it wont work sometime. I will try that /clear method. I am not running dial up (Thank God) but I can only imagine for the people that are. Well Thanks again, and good luck with them.
