When I got my squareback it had the stock shifter. It was a bit wobbely but it found every gear just fine. I decided to get the Empi short shifter. I still have not found the sweet spot for this dam thing. Seems like if I move it a bit this way I cant find this gear if I move it a bit that way I cant find that gear. Is this just a hopeless POS or is there a trick to it???
I have no problem getting a whole new shifter if thats what I need. What would be the best one?

| Sounds like you might need to replace the shift rod bushing. |
