I am currently installing T-2 motor in my NATCH. I am wondering about this install of a pilot bearing. The engine that I have has a pilot bearing already. Is this right??? Also is there any options to the intake belows for my fan??? I know about the T-4's having the plastic attatchment but are there any other options????

First you need to remove the bearing that is currently in the crank. Then you need to get a type1 bearing (out of a gland nut) and have the flywheel off with you and the bearing so it can be pressed in. Note some type4 flywheels might need some light machining. Then you just bolt the flywheel back on. You might need a throw out bearing support sleeve, depending on the trans you're using. This is all I know about this part of the conversion. I hope this helps.

Thanks Bob.
However my flywheel already has a pilot bearing and my crank does not. I am unsure about how this is. All I know was that this engine was rebuilt for an airplane and as far as i can tell it is a T2, T4, or 914. I have no idea which one. I do not know about who rebuilt it so I can no ask him. Also, the Type 2 engine swap was a recent idea so I have a Rancho tranny for it for a S/A T1. The input shaft does seem to stick out enough. The release bearing setup seems to be identical to the 75 westy that I have.
