I've seen in a couple times. Never in a car, always just NOS in the box.
$175 is cheaper than I have seen it but more than I would every pay.
It's kinda neat but I would never hack up my car to install one. |

| I've seen a few installed, and actually did one myself once at Henry Motors in Ohio more years... (decades?) ago than I want to deal with. It was a real SOB!! As I recall, these weren't actual period accessories; if memory serves me right they were sold in the early 1970s as an "upgrade" that could make an early model pass as much fresh air as a later model into the passenger compartment. One could then also add a fan for fresh air, just like the 70s 3s if desired. It was a poorly thought out idea at best, as the '60s cars didn't have the "pass thru" vents at the rear pillars that really made the 1970s system work so well. The reason you always see them as NOS kits is because hardly any customers bought them. They were expensive, labour- intensive, and- as Everett said, you had to hack up the car! I think these were North American market only, by the way. |
