Can anyone tell me if it is possible to retro a vent blower fan on my 67 fastback?
Also, what options do we T3's have when replacing a speedo?? Are there after market speedos or should I look for a used one?

1. Yes, I have seen someone retrofit an aftermarket blower fan under the rear seat hooked into the heater piping there. I don't know the particulars though.
2. I'd replace it with another original one. They are on this site or eBay all the time. What's wrong with your existing one? |

I'm tempted to put a modern speedo in during this restoration project. The current one does work. I'm still on the fence and haven't decided to update the car or stay true to its' original mint condition. I'm the second owner of this 67. The widow says that after her husband passed in 73, she parked the car in the barn (47,000 miles).
If you remember any detail on the fan blower, please forward a contact to me.

A "modern" speedo won't give you anything better... It also won't have the proper clips to mount it in a Type 3 dash.

| I installed a newer black-faced speedo in my 1970 Squareback. You will need to use the longer clips from your old unit, as described in the Bentley manual (the newer units used shorter clips). I like the look of the black face and the way the speed is listed every 10 mph instead of every 20. The trip odometer is also a nice bonus. |
