| Hey guys, im usually in the beetle forums, but i want a notchback also. What years were they made in and what is the most desireable year? Also what years are the hardest to find parts for. Ive looked in the classifieds and the ealiest i saw was a 61. Thanks in advanced guys. Also and links dedicated to the notch would be much a ppreciated. Thanks again |

well, i have owned a rusty 61 (yes, i said 61)
2 early 64s
1 late 64
1 65
which would i want if i had to do it all over again? THE 61!!!
i like any notch, even the late 73s, but i prefer any 69 or earlier.
61-66 wide 5, 6volt
67 wide 5, 12v
68 4 lug, 12v swing axle
69 4 lug, 12v, IRS
70-72 4 lug, 12v, IRS, booster defrost fan, shark nose
73- end of run, 4 lug 12v, IRS, booster fan, 3 point seat mounts, shark nose |
