If you had the VIN you could maybe do a carfax and try to find out where they have been registered. If she gave them to a kid, he (i would say most likely) doesn't still have them. Find the VINs do a CarFax. IF he does have them, he's probably not on here. Sorry man. I wish I could help.

can carfax find any registered car? I would so love to find my first bus. I sold it in college because it back stabbed me far beyond what I could afford but I've regretted it ever since.

I dunno. I think it can as long as you have the VIN. It may not have very good quality info though. It wil tell you if it was totalled and where it was registered last, but that about it I think.

I think it ended up in the san diego area. I bought it from a mexican in indiana who had brought it up from la, then I took it to new hampshire and then sold it in Illinois to a kid who took it from Iowa to tijuana and then I think sold it in san diego.....maybe its supposed to be out west. I would so much love to find it again...

I don't know if things have changed but 3 years ago we tried some of my VW's vins on carfax and they had too few digits in the vin( too old) for carfax to run them.

Five years later, and no sign of either of these cars. I tried to get a hold of the kids father, but no luck. This should be one of the earliest notches in existence.

I tried carfax earlier this year and ran into the same issue.

Dustin, you don't have any old pics of the cars, do you?

No offense but without a VIN, I won't even assume it was as early as '62.

:)

The fasty was a blue 66 yes. It had 30k og miles on it but was in terrible shape. It sat next to a schoolyard where kids broke out all the windows, so the interior was trashed. It was also moved at one point in it's life with a bulldozer, so there is damage to the rear.

The notch was a 62, I have pics of the car in oregon. I will see if I can get them sent here before I go up there in Nov. The person I bought it from claimed it was #32, at this time i was 14 or 15 and did not know much about the Vin #'s.

The notch was a basket case but was mostly complete. It did have some later parts with it. It was originally white.

My mom would threaten to have my cars towed several times a week when I was still living at her place. The only thing I did to piss her off was being born a boy.
