WOW! That's what I'd love to be able to do, take the VWs deemed only good for parts and bring them back from the dead.
What's going to be really great is when it's all done, you can show someone these pictures! I'm sure they'll have a hard time believing you. |

Again thanx for all the props. Here is the latest.
Here I am working out the lines in AutoCad to follow when rolling the beads in my bus floor. I decided to built the floor from scratch in 4 pieces represented by the purple lines. The gray are the bends. This is not the final copy because I need to use a bus with a decent floor to check the measurements since my is almost nonexistent.

The left two pieces look just like the ones I got from Kelly Brown...
Am I just not seeing it, or is there not a hole for the steering column?
BTW, that is sweet progress on that bus man!!! |

| The steering column has a slotted hole on the earlier buses. Just curious, how much did you pay for the panel? |

I don't remember the actual cost of the floor panels but for $150 I got:
cargo rocker (inner outer)
bottom cargo latch assembly
top plate
passenger floor section
drivers side section (all the way to the shifter)
This included shipping...
I haven't installed the panels yet, but they look pretty good. Definately better than the wolfsburg stuff...
Super nice guy to work with too!
I can snap some pictures if you guys wanna see... |

Sorry guys but it will be a couple of weeks before I can get pictures posted of the panels that Kelly made... we're leaving in the morning for Chicago and I need to get all packed up and stuff tonight...
I'll post some pics when I get back.
the info for Kelly Brown is on his website:

His phone number is on the Contact & Background page.
and Skim, The cargo rocker assembly that he put together is pretty bad ass! |

| Hey Jeremy, would you consider making more than one of those floors? I am having a hell of a time comming up with the right floor for my 23 window. My single cab has a decent floor you could measure off of, but I'm here in Colorado. If you told me what you need measured I could do that for you. |
