Hi,

I have a Blaupunkt VW radio which I'd really like to get working for my van if possible.

I wired it up tonight as I thought correct - the light comes on on the front panel when I switch it on and if I use the L band, I can just hear a crackling through the speaker with the volume turned right up.

It has a part number of 113 035 101 A and I believe it is an Emden radio.

With the connectors on the back - I connected in an aerial, 12v + to large spade on the right marked KL 30, - earth to the large spade on the body and 2 speaker wires to the 2 small connectors on the right.

There is one small spade connector just above the DIN socket, but I'm not sure what that's for?

Have I any chance of getting it working correctly or should I just use it as a display unit in the dash!?

Thanks very much, Mike

It looks like you have a Wolfsburg IV circa 1971. I found a couple of them for sale here. Also radiomuseum.org has more info on this model.

thanks for the links :) That does look like the same radio. I have a chrome plate on mine but otherwise the same.

I have removed the bracket on the front so it fits my split dash.

It`d be really nice to get it working, but i don`t really know where to begin!

I think i`m going to make up an ipod connector lead to connect into the DIN socket tonight to see if that works as that would be something at least.

The fact that it lights up and i can hear a bit crackling is frustrating as its obviously close to working properly!!
