It should go right in without any major mods. Both cars are swing axle, and 12 volt. I don't know if the 68 Notch was FI'd or not, but that really wouldn't be a problem if the 67 Square engine is complete. I hope this helps.

How is the IRS done? Is it like factory using the 2 seperate mounting points on the sides of the body (rear engine hanger style), or does it have the forks under the transaxle (swing axle style)? I'm only asking because IRS wasn't used until 69, except for some mid 68's with AT. It is an easy conversion though, but you need the right parts to do it. My 65 was converted to IRS, using 1970 parts, and this means I have a rear engine hanger. All 67's were swing though, and the case didn't have the provisions for a rear engine hanger. You need to find out which set up the car is supposed to use (the one you're buying), so you can make an informed decision. I hope this helps.

If the 67 was in an IRS car, then it should go in without any trouble. If the 68 is still swing axle, you can just remove the rear engine hanger from the 67 motor and install it. If both are IRS, then its a direct swap. Its kinda hard not to notice the rear engine hanger, as its about 42" long, black in color (usually), and about 2" on the ends, widening to about 5" in the middle and is mounted down low at the rear of the engine (rear is rear). Its held on to the motor with 3 bolts, and bolts to the car with 2 on each end. I hope this helps.
