I know that in my 67 I had a carborated engine. In 68-69 are the EFI or Carborated?
What about IRS is standard in after a certain year or is it the luck of the draw?
Bolt Pattern on a 64 is 4 bolt is a 66 4 or 5 bolt?
Is it possible to fit 16 wheels under the rear fenders of a 65 Notch?
I'm asking these questions because I am looking at 3 different Type 3's for sale and I don't want EFI and I don't want IRS either. Any help is much appreciated! |

'68 is EFI for US-delivered vehicles.
'69 is the first year of IRS.
'66 is the first year of the 4-lug pattern with the introduction of disc brakes. A '64 would be 5-lug.
Yes on the 16" wheels, although you would probably have to change to Bug short axles. It would also depend on the wheel offset. |

| Yeah, but that was mid year 68 AT only. The real question was do you like low back seats or hi backs? As 67 was low and 68 was high. 2 point (67) or 3 point (68 ) seat belts. Or do you like the convienence of external filling (68 and later) or having to lift the front hood for fueling (67 and earlier)? These are all the little changes between these 2 years, kinda like a bug too. |

| Thanks Bobnotch... Well I love low backs and regardless of the year they would make their way into the Sq. But as it looks I found a bus in my price range that I would much rather have over a Type 3 for now. But in the near future I will be looking at a Sq for the wife! :D |
