ok remeber i am new to t-3's.
I'm trying to get the top of the back seat out of my 68 or 69 fastback. Ive removed 2 nuts from a bracket at the bottom ot the seat. It has an armrest, I don't know if that matters all to much. I'd like to get it out tomorrow. I don't have the bottom of the rear seat so thats out of the way.

We ripped out the headliner today, and took out the door panels. But we didn't take out the quarter panels cuz i havn't got the rear seat out.

Just thought I might keep you posted on progress. whenever i can figure out how to post pics i'll show you (there over 800k I don't know if thats to big to post)

The top of the seat back lips over a lip that kinda locks it in place. You need to get the arms out at the bottom off the studs. Then you lift the whole seat back up and then lean it forward to get it to clear the lip. That lip is about 1" high, so you'll need to move the seat back up quite a little bit. The arm rest assembly stays with the seat back, and is attached only to the seat back frame, not the car. Once you get it up and out of the lip, turn oneend of the back assembly to get it to clear the rear arm rests and it should come right out of the car. I hope this helps.
