I have a 64 ghia that originally came with a dash pad. It didnt have a dash pad when I got it and I am not planning on putting one back in. I do however have a slotted speaker grill that I would like to install but the darn thing wont go in place and Im scared of breaking it. The threaded posts on the back wont go through the opposing holes on the dash inset. Does anyone know how to install one?

one percenter;
I had the same experience. I went with a repro speaker grill for my painted dash from KGPR. The repro grills may not all be a "perfect fit"(?). I pulled my Dremel out and enlarged the holes just enough to get it in place...

John Copello (Copello's Machining, (209) 536 -1449 [email protected] ) sells a grill that does fit. He makes it himself out of metal. Also has 66 dash trim, radio block off plates and other stuff. He also rebuilds window regulators and door strikers, etc.

You might want to email him for his small catalog of parts. All very good quality and he is a really nice guy who knows Ghias.
