They all seem to go from $800 to $1,000 for 4. Small production numbers or what?

one man, small production numbers and high quality all add up for a more expensive item. btw i have bought a set from randee and they are very nice wheels!

those are real empi raders, cant compare apples to oranges.... thats like saying why can i buy a set of repop brms for 600 but original ones are 5g's?

Randee needs the money for all his hair care supplies, if you've seen him you'll know what I mean.. (Sorry bro, couldn't resist) :D

I think the randars are pretty reasonable for what the originals are going for, shit, be like me and wait a few years, eventuall the price will go down lol (thats what I keep telling myself anyways......)

it wont be long before loads of used randars will be showing up. i remember repro BRMs being like $1250 a set (something like that) then the price dropping to like $695. fortunately i sold both sets before the price plummet. used youd be lucky to get $100 a piece for them now.

The Randar seems to be a 'love it or hate it' kind of rim. Personally, they leave me cold, but I guess they are unique.

I don't know about Randars anymore. I wanted some Empi Radars for years because they were rare and different. With the Randars and now the JGE Radar repros on the market, the rare element is lost. If the price of Randars goes down they'll be the next Chrome Empi 5-spoke.

crofty Wed Dec 03, 2003 10:23 am

I have a 66-67 RIM AND A SMOOTHIE for sale $10 each! Come and get em!

pyrOman Wed Dec 03, 2003 1:36 pm

chab, what's IN is whatever you want to run on your ride. Unless of course you only run whatever everyone else tells you to run!

As for the price of rims going down, over 2 years ago the BRMs were $195 ea. I wanted them bad enough to pay $175 at the OCTO/Classic weekend. Now they can be had for as little as $130. Since I'm going for that "played out" look I'll keep running them. Also in keeping with the look, watch for the Dormobile top soon to be just as "played out"! :P

Erik G Wed Dec 03, 2003 1:59 pm

true dat, I'm looking for a doormobile top as we speak Pyro. And I'll be asking you for tips!!!
