Anyone know where to find a parts manual covering a 76? Maybe I'm not looking in the right place, but I can't seem to find one anywhere. I'll take print, digital, whatever.

Also, how about some good overview info for a type IV motor? It would be nice if there was a guide called "Type IV for Type I users", kinda like MS Excel help for Lotus 123 users.

There are no part manuals online that I know of. At one time there were russian sites that had part listings for every model but they seemed to have been taken down.

For the part numbers themselves, online part vendors like Bus Boys and Busted Bus are probably the best source although they both lack search engines.

Microfiche come up for sale on eBay once in a while but are expensive and you need a reader. VW used to print part books that the microfiches were imaged from. I'm not 100% positive but I think the last book was printed for the 1973 model. I recently say a 68 version of the book sell in the classifieds for $65 that sold instantly.

When I get my hands of a fiche reader I'm going to make a webpage with all the number and diagrams. It will take a lot of time but I think it will help a lot of folks.

What I would prefer is if VW put ETKA online as they done with the beetle and SB: Electronic Illustrated Parts Catalog.

That link with the diagrams is helpful for a visual break-out. Too bad the part numbers aren't there.

This is probably a copy of the 2001 ETKA program .... same seller has them quite often.
