| I was wonder if any one has used mag wheel cleaner to clean the exterior of the engine case?, my plan was to clan the case with the cleaner then do one coat of high temp clear coat to seal the surface up, any thoughts? |

| I've used it on transmission cases, and it leaves a dull black coating. Degreaser removes this coating, but I suspect it's just an extra step, with no benefit. |

| Be careful, it might be corrosive and etch the surface.... including the case half mating surface and the bearing surfaces. |

| I did a small test spot, It did turn blackish, while it was still wet I washed it off with water as the bottle said to, it came out very clean, the motor is assembled, I dont think I would use it on a empty case because as you said it is indeed corrosive, think I will have any issues with clear coating the case |
