| I switched to an electric and am wondering if there is any benefit to removing the mechanical pump. I have the blockoff plate and gasket? |

sorry, I don;t have an answer for you, just a couple questions...
I am looking into upgrading to an elec fuel pump myself. What type did you go with? How do you know how much flow you will need? How hard was the install? and..how differently does it run with it? |

I used this one

it delivers 1 to 4 psi for my Webber progressive. That's the recommended psi (3 to 3.5).
Not hard to install ground and pos from the coil filter before pump. About a half hour to install while your at it replace all rubber lines (for safety)
I also have a pressure regulator between pump and carb (not necessary)
no real performance gains but I hope more reliability. (I had a mech pump go out on me) Make sure you get the brass nipples with the pump. I had to order them separately.
