| Does anyone know the model number or maker of the gas heater that goes behind the passenger seat underneath the bus. I have been told that it is specific to the late model ones like 78 or so. Any info would be great thanks. |

| The factory gas heater on a 78 was a BA6 made by Eberspacher for VW. They are still around but have no manuals or spare parts or other help. Not even glow plugs. You have to get those directly from Beru in Europe and it's a pain for US folks (read expensive). |

| Lame, I was hoping they would be more available. A friend of mine used to work for a used VW parts place before it closed, he said they had quite a few, but didn't know what happened to any of them after it closed down. |
