I'm not sure I understand you. What circuit breaker thing? Sounds like bad positive battery connections, or battery ground.

What bore and stroke is your engine, by the way?

i need to get all my bugs out the bug electrical and all so i can take it road trips and all? any power wire u guys can help with would be cool.

Maybe if you took a picture it would help. The majority of electrical gremlins can be fixed by tightening/cleaning ALL connections, especially grounds. I bet your starting anomaly goes away if you tighten all connections to battery and starter.

Hey, you never said what size motor you have. How many cc's? Bore and stroke? Is it fast?

Hey sk8r dude.

Does it shut down while you're rollin' down the road, or only having the prob on start-up? That circuit breaker thing sounds aftermarket to me. Never seen one, and not one on my '71, but that's neither here nor there. If it's not connected to anything other than you pos lead, then I'd shell it and get a new pos lead. But that's just me, someone else may have a better idea.

If it's only on start-up, you have a contact ( or weak cicuit in that thing ) that can't handle the initial load without a little persuasion. So..... like UncleBob said, clean all your contacts and make sure they're snug. You seem to be charging just fine, so it'g got to be a prob with those battery connections. Simple is better, if you don't need it, shell it! IMO

Buy the way, UncleBob still wants to know what size stroker yur runnin'

Good Luck
