I am looking for a reputable VW upholstery shop that can install my headliner and windows and maybe a few other things.

I found West Coast Classic Restoration but the reviews lately from other Samba members changed my mind. I have gone to a few local shops but they do not have any experience with bugs just newer cars. I am wrapping up a complete resto on my 68 bug:

and I would hate to have the interior look like crap after all the work I have done. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am in the Irvine, CA area. Thanks!

I don't know the name of the place, BUT when I was at OC Bug Works this past Thursday having a clutch kit installed, the owner there (Tim) said the upholstery shop he uses was right next door to him. He is at 1525 MacArthur Unit 3 714-979-9799

Would that be BJ's Auto Trim?
https://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en&tab=nw&...+Auto+Trim When you click on the first Google result showing their website: http://www.bjsautotrim.net/ it gives an address 3.6 miles south at 2112 Harbor Boulevard, Costa Mesa with the same phone number as the MacArthur Blvd address.

They did the upholstery on a VW that appeared in Hot VWs, albeit 12 years ago.

I'd bet on it being the place - Tim said it does kick butt work

Thanks everyone...that is exactly what I was looking for, something local. I ran across Milton's this weekend but was not sure they did VW's, but their reviews were solid. I will check both places out. Thanks again, I have to get this project done and one the road for full enjoyment.

Well I know this is an old thread, looking for some recent recommendations. My 66 bug has windows out and interior stripped but no engine…so was wondering if anyone knows of a mobile headliner installer locally? I got quotes from both shops previously mentioned but neither are mobile.
Thanks
Eric
