I finally got some center sliding windows for my westy. I guy I'm getting them from said the seals are in decent shape, just a little brittle. What is a good method of reconditioning them so I might avoid having to buy new ones?

I've read that boiled linseed oil may help but nothing will truly recondition rubber back to a newlike state. Nothing beats new rubber.
Read up on it and take the necessary precautions before handling unless you find a better alternative. I have no experience with it. |

| New seals are cheap enough that I would just get them, It would be a shame to go through the trouble of installing them if they leak. Right? |

I know, better to spend the money now, then to have them leak and spend the money later.
Thanks for the info.
