trying to replace turn signal switch on 68 square but someone along the line lost all 4 original attaching screws and used u.s. thread machine screws instead...does anyone know the original screw thread pitch and length?? thanks for any info!!

They are specialized screws, so buy good used lenses with the screws in them.

Ah Mike, he's working on the turn signal switch in the column, not the lenses. #-o

I think they are M2 or M2.5 sized screws. They're very small in diameter.

Yup, parts book calls that out for up to 72 (used in 68 to 71).

thanks for the info on the screws...I was told by another guy that there was also tubes or supports that was used to keep turn signal switch from collapsing when tightening those same screws?? I did not see anything like it on these pictures...again,thanks

Those are #19 in the pics ataraxia posted above. But, the parts book only calls them out for the 72-73 model years. That's because the 68-71 model years used a shorter version of the tubes, and those aren't called out, as they're supposed to come with the switch.
