I cannot find the gearbox/body ground strap.
I guess it was removed long ago. I do not figure it's location.
I do not dare to use any gearbox's nut to fit a new one.
Please, tell me precisely where it is on a 1974 2 litres carburated engine. |

| I always thought it went from a nosecone stud to the fwd. mount. |

The two long studs at the front mounting, seem a good place to hook a ground strap. Top or low stud ? where the strap go to attach to the body ?
At the body, is it like the battery ground strap; should I see a buried nut ?
This stuff is old and dirty, it's hard to see. |

It's on the driver's side of the bus. On the transmission side a bolt goes into the transmission to secure the strap. On the body the other end is secured by nut to a stud that protrudes from the place where the rubber bushing for the diagonal arm meets the body.
