Is anyone using these? I have another cheapie (Tip Tools) air file and it works well, I'd like to add a backup so I don't have to switch paper. The Tip one is $100, the HF are $36 but there might be a reason why. I run the shit out of the HF DA's and for hobby use they hold up fine. HF has reviews on their site but it sounds like many of them are written by HF employees.....

There's some pretty scathing reviews on both of those you posted that I'd be pretty leery, or at least at peace with the idea of maybe having to take it back for an exchange if it craps out quickly on you.

I'm scarred on HF air tools after buying a 1/2" impact gun that couldn't remove my lug nuts regardless of how high pressure I gave it. Chucked that and bought a Chicago Pneumatic (Chicago, not Central!) and couldn't be happier. Night and day difference.

Huge believer in the cheap HF angle grinders though, I use the heck out of those.
