| I pulled my engine today for a head nut torque, and after I installed it it looks like the right side of the engine is slightly higher than the left. I measured from the top of engine to the top of my air filter tops and the right filter top is approx. 1 inch higher than the left. The only thing I can think of is that an engine mount is tweaked or the metal frame for the mount got bent somehow...Any ideas on this one? |

If you have a 1970 with the rubber mounts at the ends of the carrier bar, loosen the 17mm bolts at the nose cone and at the engine mounts and rock that bad boy side-to-side, lift up on the leftside muffler end and yank down on the right. You might get your alignment straight with just that.
Be sure to tighten when you're done.
