hello,
My question is simple. I have a 73 super beetle with an autostick in it. I want to swap the autostick out for the manual in a 71 super beetle (along with the engine). Is this possible? I am new to the vw scene and any info/tips would be appreciated. thanks |

Yes it is possible, there are a few condsiderations though.
I suggest you do a " search" using the tab up on the top left above " TheSamba.com Forum Index" and look up some old threads, by typing in "autostick to 4-speed", or "autostick to manual " you should get numerous hits.... as this subject has been covered extensively... then if you have any other questions or need clarification post again.
Also if your autostick is in working order I would say place an ad in the classifieds on this site as there are some folks looking for spares or whole units that were working to repair an autostick car they currently own.
