| i live in bay minette alabama and i need to find a shop or person to check out a motor i bought. the person i bought it from said it has been rebuilt but before i put it in my 72 baja champion se i want to get it checked out can anyone help me |

If you don't mind the drive Airkooled Kustoms has a god engine builder. But it several hours from you. Check with this guy. I personally don't know him or his work but he is closer to you.

| u see i bought a 72 sb and it came with two motors the guy said they have both been rebuilt. the car is in a thousand peaces it came with a whole lot of new parts the engines look really clean inside and out and both motor sound like they have really good compression when i turn the pulley but a guy told me i should have them checked out before starting them now he has me scared im new to air cooled engines. another thing the guy i bought them from said one of the motors is a 1776 and it came with bran new dual kadron 40/44 eis how much more power does this one have than the plain 1600 |

Ed's Foreign Car parts is in Gadsden, AL. He is an engine builder, but only slightly closer than Spook in Hazel Green.
Maybe someone in Mobile or Pensacola can help. It will be a long time until I make it back down to our vacation house in Baldwin county. |
