Hello,
I have a baja bug with irs, short torsions, and cut down swing axle spring plates.
I have noticed that the tyres (both sides) have rubbed the paint of the inside of the wheel wells where they have been contacting. I dont think that this is a regular thing, but my club's last off roat event did include quite a bit of jumping.....
Can i help this situation by swapping from beetle bump stops to type 2 ones?
I believe that they are slightly taller - so would presumably provide some extra cushioning at the extremes of the suspension compression...
Does anyone know if they are a straight swap? |

My tires rub and knock the fenders off if I jump it hard, and that's with 2x3 trailing arms and 30" tires.
Any bump stop would work if adjusted right.
I'd just leave it if you're not breaking fenders... |

Yes, they are a direct swap. The "Kong" style snubbers from Buses are much stronger and bigger than Bug ones. |
