Looking for a header for the 2.2 ecotec. Anyone tried this?

And any thoughts about this fuel cell?

Thanks
Chris

That fuel cell doesnt look like an off-road fuel cell to me. Also I have never seen an ecotec run a header like that one... not that you cant make it work.

Try this search for a header

Try this for the fuel cell

Aren't the circle track tanks more than normal tanks? Plus the other issue is the one I linked has a sending unit that one does not.

Well anything is better than a stock tank for sure but I would want to make sure that I have something that is designed to handle what I am throwing at the car.

As far as the header I dont recall ever seeing an ecotec in an off-road car that has a sender in the exhaust. Not saying they aren't out there but I would think it is not required and may only be used for the dyno's.

In the end I race vw based cars and only know people that are using ecotec's for racing so I am just trying to help out with the information that I know.

if you run that fuel cell DO NOT trust those 4 little tabs for mounting. if you look at all the offroad style cells they are held with straps that go all the way around the cell. those little tabs don't stand a snowballs chance in hell in an offroad car.

Haha wouldn't dream of relying on those tabs. And the sending unit I was referring to was in the tank for a fuel gauge. Only thing in the header I'm worried about is a o2 and maybe something for a wideband.

I juse want to stay around the 150 or lower range for a 10-12gal cell with a sending unit so I can run a gas gauge.

I've got just what yer lookin for... came off my Ecotec after I installed a turbo charger... it utilizes a short glass pack muffler with a tunable Supertrapp stainless tip... sounds real nice. Lemme know if yer interested. The two bolt looking things on the muffler are for attaching a heat shield.
