I have some very light surface rust inside the engine air intake vents. How do I prep that area for paint? Do those corners disassemble somehow? I'm sure that paint can be sprayed into there but what's the best way to get at and/or prep this light rust for paint?
Thanks! |

I'm going to be doing the same soon, my plan to tackle the rust is to mask the hell out of the exterior (already painted) and see if I can sandblast the interior with my really small/lame gun.

As for painting... pretty much the same approach, but obviously with a paint guy. Just mask and go slow.
Although I should add that I've never actually done something like this before. :?
If you're without a gun, you could always try and get a long handled brush or small roller in there with some good old rustoleum. |

Cheap siphon sand blasters work fine if you don't get sand trapped inside the body. You could just use Rust-Prep liquid etc on it and good rattle can primer/paint. An airbrush might be the perfect size for painting. |
