Hi I am restoring a 1973 Sport Bug and saw a vw die cast model and thought that it would be a cool idea to see if I can find a 1973 Super Beetle Die Cast model and paint it like the Sports Bug 8) . Does anyone know where I can find a die cast model of a 1973 Super Beetle? Anything help will be appreciated as I have been looking and can't find anything. Thanks :)

There is a great variety of model Supers on the market. The best are probably made by Minichamps. Most are 1/43 scale.

Congratulations on your Sports Bug.

Minichamps made a model of the Sports Bug, complete with the proper rally wheels. (Though it might have been the European version with the flat black decklids.) It's a great model and well worth the search.

Also, the German Gama company made a fantastic one in 1/25 scale about the same time the actual car was produced, complete with working sunroof, but it's very rare.
