Seems to be a difference of opinion on valve adjustment for the 110 cam. The card they send does say .004" but seems some think that is too tight. I know .006" is for stock VW engines but anyone want to weigh in on which is better for this cam on a 1914 engine? |

The proper valve adjustment depends on what push rods you are using, not the cam.
Most here feel you should run
Chromoly; "Loose Zero" (as tight as you can while still being able to roll the PR in your fingers), or .001". Cold
Aluminum: .006: Cold |

If your getting a lot of noise hot with steel rods it might be running too hot. One of the thing I like about steel is it warns you. I had my oil thermostat fail on me once and my push rods let me know about it. Dan |
