really? I've always seen them with the "Made in Spain" engraving, but never a blank one, so I was wondering if they might be US made or Chinese :? |

Weber carbs were originally made in Italy. Weber transferred all carb production to Spain and is now the only place real Weber 48 IDA's are made.
There are currently 2 different versions of the Weber IDF. The real factory IDF's are Made in Spain. The authorized licensed reproductions are Made In USA. All the other copies (EMPI & Decade) are made in China. The EMPI 48 EPC are made in China |

...EMPI carbs are cast in China. A far as I know, all the machining is done here in the USA. |

There are genuine Webers made in USA, since they paid their license fee. And the better in my opinion Spanish ones. I have owned both. |
