My wife's daily driven 63 beetle is pretty tired and burning oil. I would like to hop it up a little while I'm in there. It has a rebuilt 68 beetle transfer and a dual port 1600 out of a 73 beetle.
Keeping the stock heater boxes and exhaust is a must. I would also like to keep the stock carb. I was thinking of building a 1776 with a C/W crank and a little cam. I always have everything balanced and full flow the case. What other upgrades are worth doing considering I'm keeping the boxes and stock 34 pictures 3 carb? Cam suggestions? |

| To get the most from the "little cam" I would suggest a cleanup of the intake ports on the heads and give the compression a slight bump, otherwise the plan sounds pretty good for a safe daily driver |
