Hey guys I figured I would share my latest metal art creation.

Throttle linkage works

Its still not done but its slowly getting there. The pullys and flywheel spin and the oil cap threads off along with the throttle linkage moves.

Wow, I mean WOW!!!!!!! great work . If you want to keep it from rusting get a bottle of stuff called SHARKHIDE. it is clear and is like water ,Look it up I have used it on polishe parts and it is holding up. Parts look just like the day I polished them.
How much do you sell them for ?

Unclesalty Fri Mar 21, 2014 12:29 pm

Nice creativity man!! I wouldn't run that power pulley on the street though.

vwcanuck Fri Mar 21, 2014 4:43 pm

 That's a whole lot of creativity and talent. How many hours would you have in creating that?

Balln Fri Mar 21, 2014 5:47 pm

Thank you guys for all the compliments I appreciate it. I thought of making a few to sell but not sure what they would be worth. I don't have that much time into it. I spent more time at the hardware store trying to find stuff that would work. One of the reasons why I bought everything from the store was in the future if I wanted to make more I didn't have to hunt down parts. Lots of the parts have been modified to get the right look. I was thinking of glass bead blasting it and will put a nice finish on it then spray with a flat clear coat. But im not sure what to do right now. I was thinking about adding tins and a exhaust and if I don't sell it by then maybe build a full pan with working susp.

Very impressive!

Other than changing that troublesome single progressive carb to a nice set of dual Dells, I wouldn't change a thing :)
Excellent skills 8)

Really Cool!!!

I think it would be a shame to blast it, all that discolor from heat adds to the look of it.

Nice job.

*like*

If you're interested in selling, there's a guy on another vw forum I'm on that does something similar [his latest creation is a Star Wars x-wing fighter] and he sells them for about $40.
