Hi,
Does one of you own a owners manual of a 1983 Vanagon watercooled 1.9 DH Engine. I'm looking for the maximum trailer weights for this verhicle.
I know they are in the newer manual from the 86 onwards. But would like to know if this information is also in the 83 manual.
I need this information for my license registration so that I'm allowed to tow a trailer. I know that some people would recommend hooking up a trailer.
If the information is in the manual then I have the "proof" that I need. I was planning to buy a 83 owners manual on ebay but they don't come cheap.

Thank you for the links. I didn't find the first one myself.
I did provide the registration office with a lot of information but they want something specific that is related to an 83 Vanagon.
I tried to prove that a USA model is quite the same as the European transporter but it seems that the USA model has a different type number as a European and there for I can not use the existing type approval.
The USA VW importer doesn't have information before 1990.

| I looked in my 1983 manual last night and I could not find one thing about towing weight. :? I will look again whenI have time. |
