| What is the easiest way to take the spring plates off if i all ready have the body off. |

same as with the body on. in a nut shell
tie chain around floor jack and upper shock mount
jack up spring plat till it is off the stop ( of course you have to pull the arms aside but not off)
take off plate at the end of the torsion tube
slowly and carefully pry ...wiggle off.. spring plate past stop and lower jack.
if you are careful you can carefully tap the torsion bar as you pull of the spring plate so that the one end stays in the center. This is not necessary except to maybe take note of what the current preload is so when you put it back you can adjust it accordingly. |
