I have two hatches here that I believe are for 15-23 window buses. One has an indention above the t handle. can you help me identify these? also what years did the hatch come with the indention. Thanks

Ethan,
The seems that the recess in the hatch started sometime in '60 or '61 and went thru '63. There are pictures in the Gallery that show either way for 1960. Perhaps someone can pin down the exact date it changed. |

Well our DEC59 built walk thru panel camper conversion does not have the indentation.
Our MAR62 SO-34 Westie does.
So somewhere between those dates..... |

Thanks for making me go check this out. Looking through my books and at pics in the Gallery, you are correct, the recess looks to have started for the '61 model.

I searched on rear hatch indent
I also added it to the Bus FAQ as it wasn't in there. |

I have a August 30th 1960 bus with an indentation.
