Hey all, I thought I would share my latest project, very near completion, just a few more bits and I think it's done. Let me know what you think of it.
Some info:
Thing beam, torsion and spindles
Torsion re-indexed, notched spring plate
3in Body Lift
Front 4.5" centerlines on BFG All T/A 30x9.5 R15
Rear 10" centerlines on Federal Couragia M/T 31x10.5 R15
Procomp extended length shocks on all fours
1679cc DP with 34-3 Bocar, Pertronics II SVDA and 4 into 1 with hide-away
And it is an Auto-Stick (4.375 early trans)

That's a nice looking Bug :D
I have a bunch of questions ...
Is your front beam cut and turned or does it have front beam torsion adjusters ?
How many splines did you index it in the rear ?
What kind of CV's do you have in the rear ?
How much did you notch the rear spring plates ?
How much ground clearance do you have ?
I'm trying to build a Baja with a Thing front end, and want the high/level look you have. |

It would be great if he'd answer some questions... lol!
I'm building a baja with a thing front beam as well and would like some info that war already asked for. Plus, I also have a semi auto in my bug just want to know how the trans hold up to the large tires as well. I'll be changing mine to a bus trans at some point but wanted to know how the semi will be at first... |
