Does anyone here know where I can have a custom headliner made for my 64 bug? Or anywhere I can have a custom design made of cloth or some sort big enough to sew into my headliner?
Thanks

There are lots of options here in Southern California, but you have to tell us where you are at.

Try Kusom 1 Upholstery. THey do cusom jobs and ive seen them mentioned in several feature car articles in HVW's(i dont think theyre affiliated with Kustom 1 Warehouse so make sure you get the right place.

If you are on a budget, I got a place here in La Puente that is dirt cheap and has been there since forever. They punch out maybe a dozen cars a day but I wouldn't say that they are a resto quality shop. They don't want to shoot the bull with you. Tell 'em what you want, place your order and get the hell out of the way. Drop it off when they open and it will be ready before 5:00 the same day. Mask things off yourself because they will spray glue all over. They did the headliner in my 1971 bus for $150 and it came out great (I cleaned up the overspray no problem with Goo Gone). They don't use German material, but for the money, you can't beat it with a stick. Still interested? Garza's Auto Upholstering at 14220 E. Valley Blvd, La Puente. I will be at the Pomona show on Jan 18 if you want to see my headliner.

heres a pretty trick way to repalce your headliner..use a peice is fine cut carpet and glue it on to the roof of your bug and get rid of all the vinal crap thats on the pillars when you have the body off the pan and your doing a resto job is the perfect time to do it...i dont think what i jsut typed made much sence ill have to take some puctures and put on here
