hi, I'm having issues with the steering on my type 2 bus..my question is....
"On a 1972 Type 2 with all of the linkages disconnected from the steering knuckle and "New" ball joints that were installed prior to my purchase of the bus...what force would be considered "Normal" to grab wheel/tire and turn it left to right, and right to left, with the front end off the ground?" thanks in advance.. |

Very little force should be required. There have been some ball joints sold mostly about 5-7 years ago that were way too tight, don't know if there is anything you can do with them short of replacing them with correctly made joints. |

Had the same problem with my D.C. . We removed the ball joints and very gently, Little by little used a press on the end of the threaded end to relieve the tightness. End result was a very nice driving D.C. no cash outlay. |
