Hi Folks,
I just bought a doka with the euro spec 2.1 digijet engine and am getting it tuned up to pass emissions here in Portland OR. After much research I'm still unsure whether the 2.1 digijet can take an O2 sensor. I've read a few places on the samba where folks say that it cannot and doesn't have a provision for it in the ECU, however I was looking over the digijet protraining fuel system guide and it shows a provision in the wiring diagram for an 02 sensor. Now this link above might very well be uniquely for the US 1.9 digijet and a different ECU from the 2.1 which is then my question. Is there really no way to retro-fit a euro spec 2.1 DJ series ECU with an O2 sensor? Or if so is it simply a question of wiring in to pin 5 and 6 of the ECU as indicated in the guide above? Anyone every do this?

Have you looked at the part number on your ECU to see if it is the same as the ECU used on the 1.9?
